Terms of Use
Last updated: March 23, 2026
Welcome to cannaclinicmd.com, the website of Canna Clinic MD, a medical practice operated by Dr. Bruce Stratt, MD in Boca Raton, Florida. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website.
Medical Practice Information
Canna Clinic MD is a physician-led medical practice specializing in the evaluation and certification of qualifying patients for Florida's medical marijuana program under the Compassionate Care Act (Section 381.986, Florida Statutes). We are certified by the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU).
We do not sell, distribute, or dispense cannabis products. We are a medical practice that provides physician evaluations. Patients who are certified must obtain their medical marijuana products from state-licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (dispensaries).
Medical Disclaimer
The information provided on this website is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be, and should not be construed as, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The content on this website does not establish a physician-patient relationship.
- Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical decisions
- Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking treatment based on information found on this website
- Individual results from medical marijuana therapy vary significantly between patients
- Medical marijuana is not guaranteed to be effective for every patient or every condition
- The information on qualifying conditions is provided as general guidance — only a certified physician can determine your eligibility after an in-person evaluation
No Guarantee of Certification
Submitting an evaluation request or scheduling an appointment does not guarantee that you will receive a medical marijuana certification. Certification is determined solely by the physician after conducting a thorough in-person medical evaluation, as required by Florida law. Dr. Stratt may determine that medical cannabis is not appropriate for your condition, in which case certification will not be provided.
Evaluation fees are for the physician's time and medical assessment, regardless of whether certification is granted.
Florida Legal Requirements
By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Florida law (Section 381.986, Florida Statutes) requires an in-person physical examination for all new patients and transfers — telehealth is only permitted for follow-up and renewal appointments
- You must be a Florida resident with valid proof of residency to participate in the state's medical marijuana program
- You must be at least 18 years of age, or have a parent or legal guardian serve as your designated caregiver
- You must have a qualifying medical condition documented by a physician
- You are responsible for maintaining your certification through follow-up appointments and annual renewal of your patient ID card through the OMMU
- Possession or use of medical marijuana without a valid patient ID card is illegal under Florida law
- Driving under the influence of medical marijuana is illegal in Florida, regardless of your patient status
Patient Responsibilities
As a patient of Canna Clinic MD, you agree to:
- Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information during your evaluation
- Present valid identification and authentic medical documentation
- Use medical marijuana only as recommended by your certifying physician
- Not share, sell, or distribute your medical marijuana to any other person
- Not operate motor vehicles or heavy machinery while impaired by medical marijuana
- Attend required follow-up appointments to remain active in the Compassionate Use Registry
- Notify our office of any changes in your medical condition, medications, or contact information
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding medical marijuana
Federal Law Notice
While medical marijuana is legal under Florida state law for qualifying patients with a valid certification, marijuana remains classified as a Schedule I controlled substance under federal law (the Controlled Substances Act). This means that possession, use, or distribution of marijuana may still be subject to federal prosecution, regardless of state law. By using our services, you acknowledge that you understand this distinction and accept any risks associated with participating in Florida's medical marijuana program.
